YandexGPT is now able to highlight key information from product reviews

Users of Yandex Search now have access to quick information about what to pay attention to when choosing products and what the main pros and cons are noted in reviews. Thanks to the use of the YandexGPT neural network, information from customer reviews will be summarized and presented in the form of a short list. Also summarized reviews are now available on Yandex.Market.

The result of YandexGPT is displayed in product cards on both platforms. To evaluate the list of advantages and disadvantages created by the neural network, the user can use the corresponding buttons below the list. In the search engine, these lists appear when entering a query with the name of a specific model, for example, "iPhone 14 Pro" or "Yandex Station Mini". Clicking on each list item in the search engine opens reviews that mention the corresponding feature.

YandexGPT analyzes reviews left by customers on the Marketplace and in the "My Reviews" section of Search. First, the algorithm selects the highest quality reviews that contain a detailed description of the experience of using the product and meet other criteria. Then the neural network identifies the product features that users consider most important and write about most often. To create a list of advantages and disadvantages using YandexGPT, at least 10 high-quality product reviews are required. YandexGPT replaced the Marketplace's smart reviews technology, which was launched in 2021.
